About the Warhawks
AUM (0-2) will look to rebound after dropping their first two contests of the season against Clayton State and Newberry with a home date with the Golden Rams of Albany State.

Freshman goaltender Chloe Kistler has been rock solid in goal for the Warhawks to start the season. Kistler currently leads the Gulf South Conference in saves with 19, six more than the next closest keeper.

Senior forward Ruby Mendez will be inching toward history during the contest against Albany State. She currently sits at 99 career points, and if she is able to reach the century mark on Thursday, she will become the fourth player in school history to achieve this milestone.

The duo of Mendez and Mayson Jaindl has been the backbone of the Warhawk offense to begin the year. The two forwards have netted six of the team's seven points to start the season, and they both rank in the top-15 in the conference in points.

Newcomer Emily Cruce has had a solid start to her collegiate career at AUM. Cruce has earned time in both games for the Orange & Black this season and recorded her first career point with an assist against the Clayton State Lakers.

The Golden Rams and the Warhawks met on the final day of the 2018 regular season, resulting in a 4-1 victory for the visiting Warhawks. Mendez was able to find the back of the net twice while Jaindl was also able to tally a score.

Historically, the two schools have met two times with the Warhawks besting Albany State on both occasions.

About the Golden Rams
Albany State (1-0) will roll into Montgomery after winning their opening game of the season against the Spring Hill Badgers by a score of 4-2. The Golden Rams were able to rally from a two-goal deficit to score four unanswered goals.

ASU was tabbed to finish 12th in the Peach Belt Conference in the preseason rankings after finishing the 2018 campaign with a 1-11-1 record. Their only victory of 2018 came against GSC foe Shorter.

The Golden Rams have two players with multiple goals to start the 2019 season. Both Thuto Ramafifi and Aliyah Armijo have both tallied two goals in the match against Spring Hill. Ramafifi was also able to add two assists in the contest against the Badgers and has six points in total.

Albany State's battle with the Warhawks will be game two of a three-game road trip to open the season. After their date with AUM, the Golden Rams will travel to Pensacola, Fla., to take on the West Florida Argonauts.
