Carla Butler also set a new personal best in Auburn Montgomery's 3-0 victory over North Greenville on Saturday afternoon as the Warhawks finished the 2019 USC Aiken with a 3-0 record in volleyball action.
NOTES
- The Warhawks improve to 6-3 on the season with a 4-2 mark at neutral site matches.
- AUM won the match with the Crusaders 25-21, 29-27, 21-25, 25-22.
- NGU falls to 2-7 on the season with a 1-6 mark at neutral sites.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
- Dash posted a career-high 13 kills to go along with a career-best 17 digs in the contest. She hit for a .300 clip against the Crusaders to help lead the Orange & Black to victory.
- Rhea tallied a personal best 20 digs in the contest while adding 11 kills to the AUM total.
- Whittlesey recorded a career-best 13 kills while notching a .303 hitting percentage.
- Butler tallied a match best 22 digs, a new career-high for the junior.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Warhawks found themselves down 6-2 in the first set prior to a 6-1 run to take the lead at 8-7. An 8-3 run by the Crusaders gave NGU a 15-10 advantage before the Warhawks were able to break serve. Down 17-12 the Orange & Black went on a 7-0 run to take the lead, capped off by a block by Dash and
Jaylyn Felder. With the score tied at 20-20 AUM went on a 5-1 run to take the first set on a Felder kill.
- AUM was once again down early to NGU, falling behind 4-1 before a 5-0 run by the Warhawks gave them the advantage. The two teams then traded points back and forth with neither team able to get more than a four-point advantage. AUM found themselves down 24-22 in the frame and were able to break set point and tie the match at 24-24. The teams fought to a 27-27 tie but a kill by Rhea and another kill by Felder gave the Warhawks the 29-27 victory.
- It was another back and forth set in the third frame as the two teams fought to a 10-10 tie. A 9-3 run by the Crusaders put them up 19-13 before four straight points by AUM cut the deficit to 19-17. NGU outscored AUM 6-4 the rest of the way to win the set 25-21 and get on the board down 2-1.
- The two teams battled to an 8-8 tie prior to a 3-0 run by the Orange & Black which gave them an 11-8 advantage. A 7-4 run by NGU gave them a 15-14 lead but a Dash kill snapped the run and tied the match at 15-15. After trading side outs the Crusaders pushed their lead to 21-19 before a 5-0 run by the Warhawks gave them match point at 24-21. After an NGU kill cut the lead to 24-22 Felder provided her third set-winning kill to give AUM the set 25-22 and the match 3-1.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE (LANDER)
- The Warhawks hit .193 while the Crusaders hit .135.
- AUM tallied 55 kills as a team while North Greenville tallied 51.
- The Orange & Black recorded 100 digs as a team while NGU had 88.
