About the Warhawks
AUM (0-4) wrapped up their homestand with a hard-fought defeat against Florida Tech last Thursday. Despite the loss, the Warhawks proved once again the capability to put the ball in the back of the net.

Both Ruby Mendez and Mayson Jaindl currently sit in the top-10 in the Gulf South Conference in shots. Mendez currently holds third place with 21 shots, while Jaindl slots in at number 10 with 13.

The Warhawks have been able to display an impressive goaltending tandem this season with both Chloe Kistler and Dejon Fletcher earning at least one start during the 2019 season. The two keepers have combined to stop 42 shots, which leads all GSC teams.

Emily Cruce and Milian Mollison will look to continue their impressive starts to their collegiate careers this weekend. Both players have been able to record one point this year, both coming via an assist.

Senior defender Torai Slaughter currently leads the Orange & Black in minutes played with 360 minutes logged on the field.

AUM was able to net three conference victories in 2018, with wins against Union, Shorter, and Spring Hill College.

About the Wolves
West Georgia (2-2-1) currently sit in sixth place heading into the first weekend of conference play. UWG's two losses came against #14 Lincoln Memorial, a 1-0 defeat back on Sept. 15 and a 2-0 loss to North Georgia on the 7th.

The Wolves latest contest resulted in a double-overtime thriller against Georgia College & State University. The game ended in a 0-0 tie, which brought West Georgia's record to 2-2-1.

Junior defenseman Tyler Bufford currently leads the Wolves in scoring with a goal and an assist. West Georgia has had five different players register a goal this season, but only Bufford has more than one point.

West Georgia has stuck with just one keeper in net so far this season, giving Jackie Donaldson all five starts. Donaldson has a save percentage of .838 and has stopped 31 of the 37 shots she has faced this year.

The Wolves currently hold an all-time record of 2-0 against the Warhawks, with their most recent meeting resulting in a 4-1 win last season in Montgomery. This will be the first time AUM travels to Carrolton.

About the Blazers
Valdosta State (2-2) holds down eighth place in the GSC leading into their first meetings with conference opponents. VSU has netted wins against Albany State and Young Harris, but the Blazers fell to Clayton State and North Georgia to start the year.

The Blazers will conclude a short two-game homestand with their game against AUM. Valdosta State will play host to Montevallo on Friday before battling the Warhawks on Sunday at the VSU Soccer Complex.

Riley Tennant and Ashley Lewis currently lead the team in goals. Both Lewis and Tennant have recorded two scores for the Blazers and lead the team with four points as a result. Kyleigh Reedy is the only other Blazer to register a goal this season.

Defensively, Caroline Embler has earned the majority of the starts in goal for Valdosta State. Her record sits at 1-1 and currently holds a .905 SV%, allowing a minuscule .067 goals per game.

Valdosta State's meeting with the Warhawks will mark the fourth time the two programs have met. AUM took the first meeting in 2016 by a score of 1-0, but the Blazers have won the previous two matchups, including last year's 6-3 win.
