DAHLONEGA, Ga. --- The Auburn Montgomery baseball team dropped game number two of their three-game set with North Georgia 14-2 on Saturday, Feb. 1 from Bob Stein Stadium.

STANDOUT PERFORMERS

Jolan Stieringer all logged a base hit for AUM in the game, with Stieringer accounting for a double.

Bailey Mosley both scored a run, while
Dalton Cobb and Arrington both drove in a run for the Warhawks.

Hunter Hillyer and
Jackson Ceman both tossed an inning of scoreless relief in the game, with Hillyer working a perfect bottom of the 5th inning.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- North Georgia knocked five base hits and took advantage of six walks from AUM pitching over the first two innings to pound out an 8-0 lead at the end of two.
- Following a two-RBI double from North Georgia to lead 10-0 in the third, the Warhawks would scratch their first run of the game in the fourth. Cobb drove in Arrington on an RBI groundout to third, after Arrington reached based and advanced all the way to third on a throwing error by the Nighthawk pitcher.
- UNG would go on to tally three more runs in the fourth, with two coming on a pair of RBI singles and one via a wild pitch to lead 13-1.
- The Warhawks held the Nighthawks scoreless over innings five and six, but would surrender their final run to UNG in the 7th via a solo shot.
- Arrington would drive in Mosely in inning number eight on a sac fly, who reached base via walk, to give way to the game's final tally of 14-2
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
- The Warhawks combined to throw seven different pitchers in the contest, with
Logan Nix and
Jackson Gantt both tossing a game-high two innings of relief.
- The Orange and Black issued out 12 free passes on the day, with 11 bases on balls.
- AUM did not commit an error in the game.
- The Warhawks stranded seven runners, while the Nighthawks left 10 runners on base.
