MONTGOMERY, Ala. --- The Auburn Montgomery men's basketball team will take to the road this week for a pair of Gulf South Conference contests, beginning with a Thursday, Feb. 13 game at Shorter University and ending with a Saturday, Feb. 15 tilt at Lee University.

ABOUT THE WARHAWKS
AUM (11-11, 6-8 GSC) comes into the week sitting a half-game back of Christian Brothers University (7-8 GSC) for the eighth and final postseason spot up for grabs within the GSC.
The Warhawks cruised their way to a 93-59 home victory over Mississippi College their last time out on Saturday, Feb. 8. The Orange and Black tallied a season-high 50 rebounds, 24 assists and saw five different players score in double figures in the victory.
As a team AUM currently ranks second in the GSC in scoring, averaging 77.5 points per contest.
Carlos Bell (15.1 PPG),
Darrion Taylor (13.3 PPG) and
Maharrith Jackson (13.2 PPG) all rank within the top-20 scorers in the conference.
Bell's mark of 15.1 points per game leads the Warhawks and ranks for 12th in the GSC. The senior guard/forward has scored double-digit points in his last 10 games.
The Warhawks rank third in the GSC with a 37.9 rebounds-per-game average, led by Jackson's 6.5 rebounds per contest that ranks for 12th in the Gulf South.
Aaron Reddick (6.2 RPG) and Bell (6.1 RPG) both also rank in the top-20 rebounders in the conference.
AUM additionally ranks in the top five in three-point percentage in the conference, with an efficiency of 36.2 percent that ranks fourth in the GSC.
Stanley Davis and D. Taylor both rank sixth in the league with 52 three-pointers made each.
AUM knocked off both Shorter and Lee at home in meetings that took place earlier in the season. The Warhawks used a buzzer-beater layup from
Jeremiah Bozeman to best Lee on Saturday, Nov. 23 and a 42-point performance from D. Taylor to knock off Shorter 99-90 on Jan. 11.
The Warhawks hold an all-time advantage of 25-4 over Shorter and a record of 8-12 against Lee.
ABOUT THE HAWKS
Shorter University heads into their matchup with AUM losers of their last 14 games, including an 86-66 setback at West Florida their last time out on Saturday, Feb. 8.
The Hawks are currently averaging 75.5 points per game and allowing their opponents to score 88 points per contest.
Ja'Cori Wilson leads Shorter in points per game at 17.9, while Jay Shropshire sits second on the squad with 12.5 points per contest. Wilson has scored in double figures for the Hawks in every game he's played for them this season, while Shropshire ranks fifth in the Gulf South in three-point percentage (35 percent), threes made (55) and threes per contest (2.5).
ABOUT THE FLAMES
Lee University has won their last five games, including a 69-58 win in their most recent contest on Saturday, Feb 8 against West Alabama at home. The Flames were receiving votes in the most recent national rankings compiled by D2SIDA and were tabbed fourth in the south regional rankings.
The Flames lead all GSC teams with a 49-percent field goal efficiency and rank third in the conference with an opponent's field-goal percentage of just 41 percent. Lee is also holding their opponents to just 68.3 points per game and a GSC-low 30.7 percent on three-pointers.
Senior forward Ryan Montgomery ranks second in the GSC in scoring with an 18.9 points-per-game clip and has scored in double figures in all but two games for Lee this season. Montgomery additionally leads the Flames with a 5.7 rebounds-per-game-rate.
Prior to their matchup with AUM, the Flames will host West Georgia on Thursday, Feb. 13.
