MONTGOMERY, Ala. --- The Auburn University at Montgomery women's tennis team breezed past the UT-Tyler Patriots with a resounding 6-1 win on Friday morning in their season opener at the AUM Tennis Complex, earning a win in all three doubles matches and five singles contests to clinch their first win as full-fledged members of NCAA Division II.

"The women played very well today," Head Coach Yair Banuelos said. "We came out with great energy in doubles, and that momentum we created carried over into singles to help us out."

-    No. 5 Singles: Sofia Mustre defeated Brooke Brewer 6-0, 6-1
-    No. 6 Singles: Julia Enderink defeated Anna Claire Gerletti 6-3, 6-4

-    No. 1 Doubles: Casas and Navarro defeated Shuresh and Brewer 6-0
-    No. 2 Doubles:  Enderink and De La Toree defeated Ibrasheva and Gerletti 6-3 
-    No. 3 Doubles:  Mustre and Pinto defeated Patil and Dix 7-6
