About the Warhawks
The Orange & Black are coming off a 1-1 road trip where they were able to defeat Shorter University 91-51 in their highest-scoring game of the season, but fell to league-leading and No. 4 Lee 66-47 in road GSC action.
AUM had everything working in the game against the Lady Hawks last Thursday, using 11 different scorers to score the most points in over five years.
Victoria Morales led the Warhawks in scoring against Shorter, netting 23 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.
Aaliyah Milord shined against the Lady Flames on Saturday, pulling in a career-high 17 rebounds while recording a block and a steal. Her efforts against Lee bring her season rebounding average to 6.1 a game, trailing Morales for the team lead.
The Warhawks have three players in the top-25 in scoring for the league. Morales (13.3 ppg),
Jordan Brewster (12.4) and
Catlin Carter (12.3) all come into this weekend's game as some of the league's best in scoring.
About the Lady Bucs
With a 9-8 Gulf South Conference record, Christian Brothers sits in sixth place in the league heading into their meeting with the Warhawks. Overall, CBU has won 10 games this year, including their last two games against Montevallo and West Alabama.
Brynne Lytle is perhaps the most dangerous player in the Gulf South Conference. The junior leads the league in scoring, averaging 24.5 points per game.
About the Lady Statesmen
Delta State has been toward the top of the GSC all season and had been a regular in the national rankings. The Lady Statesmen sit in fourth in the GSC with an 11-6 conference record, sitting 18-6 overall in 2019-20.
A GSC Player of the Week regular is DSU's Quantesha Patterson. The senior Player of the Year candidate is averaging 16.8 points per game, while averaging 13.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest.
