MONTGOMERY, Ala. --- The Auburn Montgomery men's basketball team will look to keep their five-game win steak alive and continue their climb up the Gulf South Conference standings with their final two regular season conference contests of the year at West Georgia on Thursday, Feb. 27 and against number-nine ranked Valdosta State on Saturday, Feb. 29 for homecoming.

ABOUT THE WARHAWKS
AUM (15-11, 10-8 GSC) clinched a spot in the GSC postseason tournament in their 66-64 win over Christian Brothers on Thursday, Feb. 20 that was decided on a three-point shot by
Darrion Taylor as time expired. The Warhawks currently sit seventh in the GSC standings but can move up to sixth with two more wins or with one win and a West Florida loss in their regular-season finale against Valdosta State on Thursday, Feb. 27.
In their most recent contest, the Warhawks bested Delta State 84-83 on Saturday, Feb. 22 from the AUM Gymnasium. The Orange and Black shot 49 percent (28-57) from the floor and 45 percent (10-22) on three-pointers, as
Maharrith Jackson's 23 points led five different Warhawks that scored in double figures in the win.
The Warhawks remain one of the top-scoring teams in the GSC, ranking second in the conference at 78.3 points per contest. Over their last five games, AUM is averaging 84.4 points per game while shooting 45 percent from the floor, 41 percent on threes and 81 percent from the free-throw line.
Carlos Bell leads the Warhawks and ranks ninth in the league at 15.2 points per game.
Maharrith Jackson (13.5 PPG) and
Darrion Taylor (13.2 PPG) both rank among the top-20 scorers in the conference, while
Stanley Davis (11.4 PPG) is also averaging double-digit points per game.
AUM sits second in the Gulf South in three-point percentage, coming in just under 37 percent for the season. D. Taylor leads all qualified GSC players with a 47-percent three-point efficiency, while Davis ranks second at 41 percent on threes this season.
The Warhawks currently rank third in the GSC in rebounding with an average of 37.5 rebounds per contest.
Aaron Reddick (6.4 RPG), Bell (6.4 RPG) and Jackson (6.2 RPG) all rank in the top 20 in the conference in rebounding.

Devorious Brown, Reddick and
Joshua Moore will be honored pregame as a part of "Senior Day."
ABOUT THE WOLVES
West Georgia knocked off Shorter University 83-78 in Rome, Ga. their last time out on Saturday, Feb. 22. Before that win, the Wolves had dropped their last five contests in a row.
The Wolves currently rank third in the conference in scoring at 77.1 points per game and are led by Seth Brown-Carter (17.6 PPG) and Kadeim Jones (15.7 PPG) who rank fifth and eighth in the conference in scoring, respectively. Jones has notched double-figures in his last 10 games, while Brown Carter has scored double-digit points in 12 of his last 14 performances.
UWG ranks fifth in the league in rebounding at 37 boards per game and is led by Michael Zabetakis's 5.9 rebounds per game. The Wolves are additionally allowing 81 points per game on defense.
ABOUT THE BLAZERS
Valdosta State came in at number nine in the most recent D2SIDA and NACB national rankings for Division II. The Blazers have won their last 15 games in a row, including their last 14 GSC contests.
The Blazers rank first in the Gulf South and 12th in the nation in scoring at 89.4 points per game. VSU additionally ranks first in the GSC in rebounding (41.4 RPG), assists (16.36 APG), assists/turnover ratio (1.38), turnover margin (+4.16) and steals (8.28 SPG) while ranking second in the GSC in FG percentage (48 percent).
Darrell Jones (15.8 PPG) and Clay Guillozet (15.7 PPG) rank seventh and eighth in the GSC in scoring, while Bryce Smith (14.8 PPG) ranks 12th. Guillozet (8.5 RPG) and Jones (7.7 RPG) both additionally rank fifth in the conference in rebounding.
The Blazers will take on West Florida in Pensacola, Fla. on Thursday, Feb. 27 before they face off with AUM on Saturday.
