HOW IT HAPPENED
- Talladega College jumped out to a 4-0 lead after their first two at-bats, after notching a pair on a fielding error and an RBI hit-by-pitch in the first and scoring on an RBI single and successfully stealing of home in the second.
- After tallying their first run of the game in the second inning on a past ball, the Warhawk offense erupted for their highest single-inning run total of the season with an eight-spot in the third inning. AUM's first two runs of the frame came across on a throwing error by the Tornadoes, followed by an RBI fielder's choice from Armstrong, an RBI double by Marfice, a two-RBI single from Arrington and RBI knocks from Powell and Cobb to give way to the 9-4 score.
- AUM added their final run of the game in the sixth, via a Marfice RBI hit batsman.
- The Tornadoes fought back in their final at-bat, scoring runs on an AUM fielding error and an RBI single to right, but Steigert was able to slam the door shut with runners on the corners to give way to the 10-6 final.
