LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery men's soccer team battled back from being down 2-1 late in the second period to grab a 3-2 overtime victory at Gulf South Conference foe West Alabama on Friday, Oct 15.
The win improves AUM's record to 7-3-1 overall and 4-1-1 in GSC play.
Charlie Elliott knocked in the game-winner in overtime in minute number 96, with help from
Landon Surratt. The Warhawks forced overtime with an equalizer from
Ben Alram, which was also set up by Surratt, in minute number 83 to make it a 2-2 contest.
Phillip Spickenbaum gave AUM an early 1-0 advantage in minute 11 by booting in his team-leading fourth goal of the season which ws setup from Guilherme Bittecourt. The Warhawks would concede a 43rd minute strike to UWA however to see a halftime score of 1-1.
Spickenbaum accounted for three of the Warhawks' seven shots on the night, with two of those three coming on frame. Alram, Bittencourt, and Elliott all accounted for at least one shot on goal on the night.
