MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery women's soccer team fell 2-0 to the Wolves of West Georgia on Friday, Oct. 24 in Gulf South Conference action.
With the loss, AUM's record comes to to 6-8 overall and 4-7 in league play.
Prior to kickoff, seniors
McKenzie Nowin,
Ariel Jones,
Sydney Shellhouse and
Julia Pack were recognized as a part of "Senior Night."
The Wolves tallied both of their goals in half number one, with their first coming in minute number five on a long ball played by Cassidi Thomas to Lauren O'Neil into the box who sent it home. Janet Hartman put in UWG final goal following a barrage of shots after a corner kick.
AUM was outshot on the night by UWG, 18-2.
Milian Mollison and
Michaelyn Manning accounted for both of the Warhawks' shots taken on the night.
In goal,
Karla Gaytan stopped seven shots in the contest. The junior keeper's record now sits at 6-8 on the year.
The women's soccer team will return to action on Sunday, Oct. 31 when they host Valdosta State at 1:00 p.m. from the AUM Soccer Complex.
