MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga., - Following a loss to Gulf South Conference foe Valdosta State, the Auburn University at Montgomery men's tennis team defeated non-conference regional foe Georiga College 6-1 on Sunday afternoon.
The Warhawks bring their 2021 record to 3-4 on the year, while Georiga College falls for the second time in as many attempts this season.
"The boys finished this week with a strong win," said head coach
Yair Banuelos. "We are improving our doubles game, and that gave us confidence moving forward. We have a quick turnaround for one last match before having a little break."
The Warhawks, after a clean sweep in doubles play, the Warhawks were able to take the first three singles points to secure the victory. More singles wins kept the momentum going, as the Orange & Black dropped just one singles competition.

The Warhawks will remain on the road in the state of Georgia for their next match. AUM is set to travel to Decatur, Ga., to take on No. 23-ranked North Georgia on Wednesday, March 3.
