MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga., - The Auburn University at Montgomery women's tennis team cruised to a 6-1 victory over Peach Belt Conference foe Georgia College on the road on Sunday afternoon, marking their third consecutive victory.
The Warhawks improve their 2021 record to 3-2 after the victory against the Bobcats, while Georgia College loses their second-consecutive match to begin the year.
"I am very happy with the performance of the ladies this week," said head coach
Yair Banuelos. "We finished with three wins and overall good performances all around. We are heading to a little break to recharge and continue our momentum in the second part of the season."
The Warhawks dominated doubles play in their return to non-conference action.

Sofia Mustre got the action started for AUM, cruising to a 6-1 victory over the Bobcat's third doubles pairing.
AUM dropped the first singles point of the match, but it proved worthless for Georgia College as the Warhawks were able to rebound and take the remaining five points of the match after winning multiple singles matches.
