Men’s Tennis Back In Win Column After 5-2 Win Over CBU

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – After a brief pause in their schedule, the Auburn University at Montgomery men's tennis team came back to action with a 5-2 home win over Gulf South Conference foe Christian Brothers on Saturday morning.

The Warhawks improve to 4-5 on the year and even their conference record at 2-2 while Christian Brothers sees their record even out at 4-4.

"The guys bounced back with a good performance today," said head coach Yair Banuelos. "We are finding out rhythm in doubles, and it's showing in the confidence that we played today. In singles, they put off a good fight, but our guys took care of business in three courts to clinch the match."

AUM used victories in all three singles courts to begin the match with the doubles point. The Warhawks were able to take two of the first three singles points to extend their lead and would close out singles play with four wins to give them a 5-2 victory.
