MONTGOMERY, Ala. – In the first of three straight matches against ranked opponents, the Auburn University at Montgomery men's tennis team upset #25 Southwest Baptist 4-2 at home on Thursday morning.

AUM climbs back above .500 on the season and now stands at 6-5 after the non-conference victory. Meanwhile, Southwest Baptist falls to 5-7 on the year after the loss.

"The boys fought really well today," said head coach Yair Banuelos. Despite not getting the doubles point, they played with self-belief and determination to get the win at the end of the day. Great team performance.

The doubles point came down to the last court after the team split the first two games. Southwest Baptist came away with the doubles point, but the Warhawks rebounded with stellar singles play to capture the win.
