MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery department of athletics announced on Thursday, Aug. 26 its COVID-19 game day guidelines for 2021 Fall Sports.
As noted in the guidelines below, policies are subject to change as institutional and local policies evolve.

To avoid transmission of and exposure to COVID-19, individuals who answer "yes" to any of the below screening questions should NOT come to campus and should seek medical assistance:
- Are you experience a cough, shortness of breath or sore throat?
- Have you had a fever in the last 48 hours (exceeding 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit)?
- Have you experienced new loss of taste or smell?
- Have you experienced vomiting or diarrhea in the last 24 hours?
Soccer Game Day COVID-19 Spectator Policies
- Should I bring a mask with me?
- YES. Always have a mask with you.
- Are masks required at the Soccer Complex?
- Is social distancing required at the Soccer Complex?
- NO. However, we encourage that you are considerate of those who are around you, outside of your personal travel party.
- Restrooms are in the Athletics Complex; are masks required in there?
- YES. Masks are required inside of ALL AUM facilities, including the Athletics Complex. As restrooms are not located at the Soccer Complex, many fans utilize the Athletics Complex restrooms during soccer games. You WILL be required to wear a mask upon entry and until exit of that facility.
Volleyball COVID-19 Spectator Game Day Policies
- Should I bring a mask with me?
- YES. Always have a mask with you.
- Are masks required in the Athletics Complex?
- YES. Institutional policy requires that you wear a mask indoors. Regardless of the proximity you are in to other people (even more than 6 ft away), you are ALWAYS required to wear a mask.
- Is social distancing required in the Athletics Complex?
- NO. However, we encourage that you are considerate of those who are around you and "Watch Your Six", outside of your personal travel party.
Softball Fall Ball COVID-19 Spectator Game Day Policies
- Should I bring a mask with me?
- YES. Always have a mask with you.
- Are masks required at the Softball Complex?
- Is social distancing required at the Softball Complex?
- NO. However, we encourage that you are considerate of those who are around you, outside of your personal travel party.
One reminder will be provided to patrons who do not adhere to our protocols. Consistent failure to comply with masking requirements or any COVID-19 protocols will result in removal from the facility by AUM Campus Police. Policies are subject to change as institutional, local, NCAA and GSC protocols evolve.
Soccer Game Day COVID-19 Participant/Inner Bubble Policies
- Should I bring a mask with me?
- YES. The expectation is that all student-athletes, coaches, personnel, or anyone associated with the inner bubble of their respective program have a mask readily available at all times.
- Are masks required at the Soccer Complex?
- Is masking or social distancing required in the bench area?
- Restrooms, locker rooms and the athletic training room are in the Athletics Complex, are masks required in there?
- YES. Masks are required inside of ALL AUM facilities, including the Athletics Complex. You WILL be required to wear a mask upon entry and until exit of that facility. Masks are not required inside your assigned locker room space, but are required as you walk through hallways to get to your locker room, the training room or as you enter and exit the facility.
- Do I have to mask in the Press Box?
- YES. Masks are required inside all Press Boxes at outdoor venues as those Press Boxes are classified as indoor facilities.
Volleyball COVID-19 Participant/Inner Bubble Policies
- Should I bring a mask with me?
- YES. The expectation is that all student-athletes, coaches, personnel, or anyone associated with the inner bubble of their respective program have a mask readily available at all times.
- Are masks required in the Athletics Complex?
- YES. Institutional policy requires that you wear a mask indoors.
- Is masking or social distancing required in the bench area?
- IT DEPENDS. Coaches and student-athletes that are actively participating in the match do not have to mask. Inner bubble members such as Athletic Trainers, managers, traveling administrators, or student-athletes who are a part of the travel party but are not cleared to play, etc. must mask in the bench area.
Softball Fall Ball COVID-19 Participant/Inner Bubble Policies
- Should I bring a mask with me?
- YES. The expectation is that all student-athletes, coaches, personnel, or anyone associated with the inner bubble of their respective program have a mask readily available at all times.
- Are masks required at the Softball Complex?
- Is masking or social distancing required in the bench/dugout area?
- Do I have to mask if I have to enter an indoor university facility?
- YES. Masks are required inside of ALL AUM facilities. You WILL be required to wear a mask upon entry and until exit of that facility.
- Do I have to mask in the Press Box?
- YES. Masks are required inside all Press Boxes at outdoor venues as those Press Boxes are classified as indoor facilities.
Consistent failure to comply with masking requirements or any COVID-19 protocols will result in a formal report made to the respective AD of the offending institution, as well as the conference commissioner. Policies are subject to change as institutional, local, NCAA and GSC protocols evolve.
