#16 Men’s Tennis Swept In Home Exhibition Doubleheader

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The 16th-ranked Auburn University at Montgomery men's tennis team was swept at home by NCAA DI foe Troy in an exhibition doubleheader at the AUM Tennis Complex on Wednesday.

The Warhawks fell 5-0 in the first match of the doubleheader. David Rieme and Joao Guariente were unable to finish their singles matches, as Troy had already clinched the match.

The Warhawks in game two were able to see wins in the first doubles court and in the second singles court. The pairing of Bedwan and Rieme took care of business against the Trojans top pairing 6-4, while Rieme won his singles contest 6-1, 2-6, 6-2.

Troy was still able to take the second and final match of the day 6-1. The Trojans improve to 3-2 on the year while AUM record remains untouched as it was an exhibition contest for AUM.

The Warhawks will wrap up their 2022 exhibition schedule on Saturday, January 29 when they play NCAA Division I foe and regional rival Alabama State at the Montgomery Country Club beginning at 10:30 a.m.
