MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Auburn University at Montgomery volleyball player
Ylenia De Mango was named Warhawk of the Week after she helped the Warhawks dispatch the University of Montevallo Falcons last weekend.
De Mango turned in 12 kills and six digs, along with a block solo and two block assists in AUM's 3-2 win over the Falcons. With the win, the Warhawks knocked the Falcons from the ranks of the Gulf South Conference unbeaten in a thrilling five-set victory.
The Bari, Italy native, added a second straight game with double-digit kills against the University of Alabama in Huntsville when she posted 13 kills against the Chargers. The middle blocker also contributed two block assists and a dig against UAH.
The Warhawk of the Week award is a weekly honor on
AUMathletics.com that is presented to one male or female student-athlete for their athletic achievements from the previous week.
The Warhawks are back in action on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 6 p.m. in Montevallo, Ala. as they take on the University of Montevallo Falcons.
