Volleyball Dominates Tuskegee on Monday Night

Box Score TUSKEGEE, Ala. – The Auburn University at Montgomery volleyball team defeated Tuskegee 3-0 on Monday night inside the Chappie James Center in a nonconference game.

HIGHLIGHTS

AUM led the first set 6-5 and used a 16-1 run to eventually win the first set 25-10.
The second set was tied at 2-2 and the Warhawks rallied off seven straight points and had a 9-3 lead. AUM pushed to take the second set 25-10.
The third set was dominated by the Warhawks as they jumped to an 8-1 lead and carried themselves to a 25-9 victory in the third set and clinched the match.

STATS OF THE MATCH

Kendall McCain recorded nine kills on 16 total attacks and had nine digs.
Savannah Sebek tied her career-high of 29 assists.
Alessia Cappai had nine digs and seven kills.
Roberta Monticelli tallied seven digs and six kills.
The Warhawks had 11 service aces which is third most this season.
AUM had a hitting percentage of .372.

"We were able to stay focused during the entire match and were aggressive at the net." head volleyball coach Flavia Siqueira said. "Being aggressive at the net made a difference in tonight's match."
