WORDS FROM THE WARHAWKS

"I was super proud of our girls for how they played against another tough opponent," interim head women's basketball coach Steve Kenner said. "I think UAB scouted us very well and punched us in the mouth when they held us to 23 points in the first half. This gave us an opportunity to be resilient and handle adversity on the road. We showed a lot of grit in the second half and played like a different team. We held a Division I team to nine points in the fourth quarter. This game will prepare us for the regular season and especially this weekend."
