Women's Basketball Has Setback at CBU in GSC Action

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Auburn University at Montgomery women's basketball team dropped a Gulf South Conference game at Christian Brother University inside the Canale Arena by a final score of 79-71 on Friday night.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • Trinity Hambright made a layup in the final 30 seconds of the first quarter to cut the CBU lead to three at the end of the first quarter. CBU took a 17-14 lead headed into the second quarter. 
  • AUM made a couple of jumpers to begin the second quarter and took a 18-17 lead at the nine-minute mark in the second. 
  • The two teams traded buckets as the first half ended and the score was tied at 33.
  • Allasha Dudley made a jump shot at the 6:22 mark to give AUM a 43-41 lead in the third quarter.
  • The Lady Bucs responded with a 7-0 run and took a 49-43 lead at the 3:38 point in the third. CBU took a 50-48 lead headed into the fourth quarter. 
  • Jemeriah Moore made a jumper with just over three minutes left in the fourth quarter and gave AUM held a 65-64 lead. 
  • CBU ended the game on a 15-6 run, and they took the victory. 
NOTABLES
  • Jemeriah Moore scored 15 points and brought down nine boards in the contest. She also dished out five assists and picked up two steals. 
  • Kamya Hollingshed scored 13 points and hit three shots from beyond the arc. She earned four rebounds and had a steal. 
  • Trinity Hambright tallied 14 points and was 4-of-4 from the free-throw line. 
  • Lilly Parke scored in double digits at 10 points. Parke had a career-high. 
  • The Warhawks had 22 turnovers in the game and forced 13. 
  • AUM outrebounded the Lady Bucs 48-39.
