Women's Basketball Falls Against Delta State

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn University at Montgomery women's basketball team dropped a Gulf South Conference game against Delta State University 77-71 on Friday night inside the AUM Athletics Complex.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • AUM jumped to a 5-0 lead after Jemeriah Moore made a jump shot at the 8:56 mark in the quarter. 
  • The Warhawks finished the first quarter on a layup by Moore and then Delta State responded with a layup to cut the AUM lead to 21-17. 
  • Delta State was able to tie the game on multiple occasions but could never take the lead until later in the game. 
  • AUM found their biggest lead of the first half after Lilly Parke made a jumper to put the Warhawks up 35-28. 
  • The Lady Statesmen's Alanna Smith made a jumper at the first-half buzzer to bring DSU back within three points. 
  • Moore made a jumper with 42 seconds left in the third quarter to put AUM back up seven points. 
  • DSU took its first lead of the game with 8:26 remaining in the fourth quarter after Camryn Davis made a layup. 
  • Delta held the lead for the remainder of the game and won 77-71. 
NOTABLES
  • Kamya Hollingshed led AUM in the scoring column with 15 points on 4-of-7 shooting from beyond the arc. 
  • Jemeriah Moore had another solid performance, scoring 14 points, collecting nine rebounds, and dishing eight assists. 
  • Trinity Hambright had a season-high 14 points and was 8-of-9 from the free-throw line. 
  • Allasha Dudley chipped in 10 points and had two rebounds. 
  • Camryn Davis led Delta State with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
