Women's Basketball Bested By Valdosta State At Home

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn University at Montgomery women's basketball team fell to Valdosta State University on Saturday 75-56 in Gulf South Conference action inside the AUM Athletics Complex.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • Allasha Dudley got things going with a layup at the 8:09 mark in the first quarter and it was followed by a three-pointer by VSU's Emma Martin. 
  • The Lady Blazers closed the first quarter on a 9-2 run to take a 18-8 lead. 
  • AUM scored 25 points in the second quarter however, Valdosta State scored 21 and went into the break leading 39-33. 
  • Jemeriah Moore got a three-pointer to go to begin the third quarter and cut the VSU lead to just three points. 
  • Valdosta State made two free throws and forced a turnover and scored a layup to take the momentum away from AUM.
  • Valdosta State outscored the Warhawks 18-12 in the fourth quarter to take the 75-56 victory. 
NOTABLES
  • Allasha Dudley and Trinity Hambright scored 13 points each. Hambright brought down five boards. Dudley recorded three steals. 
  • Kamya Hollingshed tallied 10 points and connected on two three-pointers. 
  • The Lady Blazers shot 70% from the field in the first half and shot 14-of-20.
  • Valdosta State's bench scored 39 points with Taylor Searcey scoring 16 points and India Jordan posting 12 points. 
  • Valdosta State outscored AUM 36-23 in the second half.
