#14 Warhawks Finish Road Trip With 6-1 Win Over TAMUK

ATLANTA, Ga. – The 14th-ranked Auburn University at Montgomery women's tennis team ended their three-match road trip with an impressive 6-1 victory over Texas A&M Kingsville in a neutral site battle.

The Warhawks finished the three-match road trip with a 2-1 record that includes a win over #6 Flagler. Overall, AUM moves to 4-1 on the year. Texas A&M Kingsville moves to 3-2 on the year after the loss to the Warhawks.

AUM started the match in commanding fashion after a two-hour rain delay. The Warhawks took all three doubles courts to start the match ahead 1-0. In singles play, AUM gained two-straight wins in the sixth and third quarts before Sofia Navarro clinched the match in the top flight to give AUM the win.

AUM will return to action on Friday, February 25, to open Gulf South Conference action against Shorter University. The action from the AUM Tennis Complex is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
