TYLER, Texas – The 44
th-ranked Auburn University at Montgomery had their three-match winning streak on Friday afternoon to Lone Star Conference foe Texas Tyler 4-3 in the fourth of a five-match road trip through five states.
The Warhawks now stand at 8-3 in 2022 and drop to 4-3 on the road. The Patriots go to above the .500 mark and now sit at 6-5 on the year. Texas Tyler also wins their first home match of the season after the 4-3 win over AUM.

Estefania Garcia, and the Warhawks got off to a hot start against the Patriots, as the first doubles pairing for AUM secured a quick doubles win. However, Texas Tyler would rebound to take the doubles point and the early 1-0 lead.
Garcia quickly tied the match at 1-1 with a deciding win in the Warhawks' second singles flight. Garcia now stands at 9-1 on the year in singles play. Despite getting wins in the fifth and sixth singles positions, the Warhawks would fall 4-3 to the Patriots.

The Warhawks will remain in Texas for the final match of their road trip tomorrow morning when they face off against their third top-10 team of the season. AUM will face off against No. 6 Cameron tomorrow morning at 10 a.m.
