VALDOSTA, Ga. – The 47
th-ranked Auburn University at Montgomery men's tennis team suffered a 5-2 defeat at the hands of Gulf South Conference foe and sixth-ranked Valdosta State on the road to close out the regular season.
AUM finishes 2022 with a 10-11 record overall, with a 5-4 mark in conference play. Valdosta State moves to 12-5 this season with an 8-1 record in GSC competitions.
The Warhawks were able to start the match off on the right foot against the Blazers, taking the first and third doubles courts to clinch an early 1-0 lead. However, Valdosta State proved too much to handle in singles play, as AUM fell 5-2.

The Warhawks will await their first-round matchup in the Gulf South Conference tournament for their next match. AUM currently sits in fifth place in the GSC.
