VALDOSTA, Ga. – The 19
th-ranked Auburn University at Montgomery women's tennis team finished the regular season on a high note after taking down Gulf South Conference foe Valdosta State 5-2 on the road on Wednesday afternoon.
The Warhawks finish the regular season with 15 wins, their most since the 2017 season. The Warhawks are also locked into the second seed in the upcoming GSC tournament. Valdosta State, meanwhile, falls to 7-13 in 2022 and will either be the fourth or fifth seed in the tournament.
After dropping the first doubles court, the Warhawks rebounded to secure the early 1-0 lead after wins at the first and second flights. AUM was able to take four singles courts to secure the win after
Ane Ibarra's win in number five singles.

The Warhawks will now turn their attention to the opening round of the Gulf South Conference tournament. AUM will be the second seed and will face off against seventh-seeded Lee in the first round on Thursday, April 28.
