INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The fourth-ranked Auburn University at Montgomery softball team has once again been named the top team in the south region as they stand at No. 1 in the latest edition of the south region rankings.

The Warhawks concluded the regular season with a 38-8 record in 2022. AUM enters the Gulf South Conference tournament as the defending champions and is coming off back-to-back regular-season championships.

The Orange & Black are the top seed in the Gulf South Conference tournament, which is already underway. The Warhawks will open the tournament with a game against the eighth-seeded Union Bulldogs later tonight.
