MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn University at Montgomery women's basketball team trailed by 14 points in the third quarter and rallied back to capture the Gulf South Conference contest against Shorter University in overtime by a final score of 83-81 inside the AUM Athletics Complex Saturday afternoon.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Jemeriah Moore made a three-pointer at the 4:48 mark in the first quarter to tie the game up at 10-10 and followed it with a jumper with 3:58 remaining. The Hawks closed the first quarter on a 6-0 run to take a 16-12 lead.
- Shorter made back-to-back three three-pointers to close the first half and they took a 33-27 lead into halftime.
- Shorter's Lindsey Hardin made a shot from beyond the arc and Tylia Kemp made a layup to give the Hawks their largest lead of the night with 4:24 remaining in the third quarter.
- Kamya Hollingshed gave a spark to the AUM offense after she made a three-pointer and two layups in a row to put AUM down five near the end of the third quarter.
- Moore made a layup with 8:13 left on the clock to put the Warhawks up one point. Shorter responded with a run and went back up seven points with 3:38 to go.
- Hatti Cox made a couple of jumpers and Hollingshed made a shot in the paint to make it a one-point game with just under 90 seconds to go.
- Moore was fouled with seven seconds left and made two free throws to tie the game at 75 and Shorter missed three shots with a chance to win the game.
- The Warhawks started the overtime period on a 6-0 run and Shorter made a free-throw and three-pointer to bring it back to a two-point game with AUM in front 81-79.
- Allasha Dudley was fouled with nine seconds remaining and made both free throws to put AUM up four points and helped her team get the 83-79 win over Shorter.
NOTABLES
- Moore scored a career-high of 29 points and gathered 13 rebounds. She was 11-of-27 from the field and dished out six assists.
- Hollingshed scored a career-high of 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the field.
- Dudley scored 19 points and was 10-of-10 from the free-throw line. She had a season-high of seven rebounds.
- Cox scored seven points and all her points came in the fourth quarter. She also brought down six boards.
- With the win, the Warhawks have defeated three GSC opponents in a row for the first time in program history.
