MORROW, Ga.. -- Clayton State University scored the only goal it needed in the 22nd minute, and the Lakers controlled the rest of the match as the Auburn University at Montgomery women's soccer team fell 4-0 to the Peach Belt's Lakers on Sunday afternoon.

HIGHLIGHTS

• The 22nd minute saw the Lakers take a lead they never relinquished, as Carrie Consolino scored her fifth goal of the season.
• The Warhawks nearly found a tying goal from Sydney Garth in the 43rd minute, but a save from the CSU goalkeeper on a bottom center shot kept AUM off the board.
• Amiah Sprunger-Hightower scored her sixth goal of the year in the closing seconds of the first half as the Lakers took a 2-0 lead into the halftime intermission.
• Consolino (70th minute) and Sprunger-Hightower (75th minute) tacked on insurance for Clayton State in the second half as the Lakers took the win.
• The Warhawks got another chance from Garth in the 73rd minute, and a chance from Henry in each of the 83rd and 85th minutes, but the Lakers were able to keep the Warhawks scoreless with saves each time.

• Clayton State took 26 shots to just six from the Warhawks, including 15 on goal.
• The Lakers committed 18 fouls to nine by AUM.
• Sydney Garth and Reia Henry each registered a pair of shots on goal.
• Karla Gaytan made five saves in goal and Karla Guzman-Oritz tallied six saves of her own in the net for the Warhawks.

The Warhawks remain on the road with a pair of GSC matches at Christian Brothers University and Union (Tenn.) University. The Warhawks and Lady Bucs tangle on Friday, Oct. 20 at 5 p.m. in Memphis. AUM then battles the Lady Bulldogs on Sunday, Oct. 22 at 1 p.m. in Jackson, Tenn.
