MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn University at Montgomery softball team had a strong showing at the AUM Softball Complex by taking both games of a doubleheader against Christian Brothers University in dominating fashion.
The Warhawks won the first game 8-3 and the second game 11-0 in five innings behind a combined 23 hits and 18 strikeouts.

HIGHLIGHTS (GM 1)
- Auburn Montgomery got the day started in the first inning when Kat Fallen hammered a ball over the left field wall to take an early 1-0 lead.
- In the second inning, Olivia Aycock got on base and Shelby Newsome brought her home with an RBI single.
- CBU tied the game up in the top of the third with an infield RBI single and a sacrifice fly to left field.
- Molly Cobb clubbed a home run in the third to give AUM a one-run lead and Gia Martin bunted to score Chloe Derrick. Martin eventually stole home to push the lead to 5-2.
- Derrick knocked a ball to left center field and scored two insurance runs as AUM led 7-2.
- Chloe Baynes got in on the fun with a double to right field and Aycock crossed home plate for the eighth run of the game for AUM.
- Savannah Crockett blasted a ball over the left field wall in the sixth for the final run of the day for CBU.
ON THE MOUND (GM 1)
- Morgan Ferguson earned her third win of the season by working seven full innings and only allowing three runs on six hits. She picked up 12 strikeouts on the day.
HIGHLIGHTS (GM 2)
- The party did not stop after the first game as AUM's Cobb singled to right field and scored Allie Miller for the first run of the second game.
- Derrick drove in Cobb and Fallen with a triple to right center field. The two runs pushed the AUM lead to 3-0.
- Cobb knocked a double to right center field and scored Miller. Fallen crossed home plate on a obstruction call.
- Rebecca Komers wrapped up the second inning with a two run shot to left field to go up 7-0.
- Aycock had an RBI when she grounded out to first base but Martin scored the eighth run for AUM.
- In the fourth, Cobb hit a RBI single to the outfield and scored Fallen. Lexie Bullock knocked a single to center field and scored Kenna Coleman and Cobb to push the lead to 11-0
ON THE MOUND (GM 2)
- Avery Dickeron earned the win in game two by working five innings and giving up five hits and striking five batters out.
