ROME, Ga. – The Auburn University at Montgomery softball team took down Shorter University twice in five innings on Tuesday afternoon in Rome, Georgia at the Alto Park Softball Complexby final scores of 11-1 and 8-0 in nonconference action.

HIGHLIGHTS (GM 1)

• Kat Fallen knocked in a run off a double to center field and scored Allie Miller in the top of the first inning. 
• Miller hit a single to center field and Chloe Baynes scored an unearned run in the top of the third to put the Warhawks up 2-0. 
• Fallen hit an RBI single in the infield to score the third run of the game. 
• Lexie Bullock joined the fun with a double to left field and earned two RBIs as Fallen and Molly Cobb scored in the third inning. 
• Olivia Aycock hit a single to center field and Bullock scored to give AUM a 6-0 lead. 
• Gia Martin wrapped up the scoring in the third inning with a triple to left field and scored Aycock and Lexie Love. 
• The Warhawks went up 11-0 in the fourth inning off a three-run homer. 
• Shorter scored one run in bottom of the fourth but, Auburn Montgomery won the run rule game in five innings 11-1. 

ON THE MOUND (GM 1)

• Avery Dickerson worked the full five-inning game allowing one earned run on three hits. She struck one batter out and earned her third win of the season. 

HIGHLIGHTS (GM 2)

• Fallen hit a rocket over the right field wall in top of the first inning that also scored Miller. 
• Komers continued to hit the ball well as she hit an inside the park home run right after Fallen's homer to give AUM a 3-0 lead. 
• Auburn Montgomery scored four runs in the third inning starting off with a single by Faith Wheat that scored Komers. 
• Aycock reached base on a fielding error by Shorter's pitcher and Wheat and Bullock scored unearned runs to give AUM a 6-0 advantage. 
• Baynes registered a RBI single to the outfield and Aycock scored the fourth run of the third inning. 
• Fallen hit a solo homer in the fourth inning to help push AUM to the 8-0 victory over Shorter. 

ON THE MOUND (GM 2)

• Brinkley Yevak pitched all five innings and picked up four strikeouts while she picked up her first win of the season. Yevak gave up no runs on four hits. 

NOTABLES

• Komers has hit four home runs in her last four games and she leads the team with five this season.
• Aycock has reached base in six straight games. 
• The three homers hit by AUM in game two are the most in a single game this season. 

WORDS WITH THE WARHAWKS

"A solid performance by our team," head softball coach Scottie Wilkes said. " Two great road wins that we will enjoy before we get back to work tomorrow for our trip to West Alabama this weekend."
