MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The Auburn University at Montgomery softball team took down the University of Montevallo in a Gulf South Conference doubleheader on Saturday at the AUM Softball Complex by final scores of 13-1 and 4-1.

HIGHLIGHTS (GM 1)

• Shelby Sloan got the day started immediately knocking a solo home run over the fence to put UM up 1-0. 
• Chloe Derrick grounded out and scored Chloe Baynes to even the game. Kat Fallen singled to left field and scored two runs to push it to a 3-1 AUM lead at the end of the first. 
• Allie Miller tallied a two-RBI triple in the second inning and Molly Cobb scored Miller off a bunt. Fallen earned her second hit of the day with a two-run homer over the left field wall to extend the AUM lead to 8-1.
• Miller delivered with the bases loaded in the third inning, as she added a triple to right field to clear the bases and then advanced home off an error by Montevallo. 
• Fallen chipped in with a homer to left center for the 13th AUM run of the day and the Warhawks earned the 13-1 win. 

IN THE CIRCLE (GM 1)

• Morgan Ferguson (W, 7-3) gave up one run on three hits. She sat eight batters down with strikeouts and only walked two. She went the distance going five innings. 

HIGHLIGHTS (GM 2)

•  Fallen did not stop after her first game as she hit a two-RBI double to left center field to give AUM an early 2-0 lead. 
• Miller doubled to left field in the second inning and scored Baynes to extend the lead to 3-0 in the second inning. 
• Taylor Robinson hit a home run to right center for UM to score their only run of the game. 
• Miller added an insurance run in the bottom of the sixth with an RBI double and scored Faith Wheat to give AUM the fourth run. 
• Montevallo had the bases loaded in the top of the seventh but the AUM defense held on and a fly out to center field ended the game. 

ON THE MOUND (GM 2)

• Avery Dickerson (W, 7-2) went the full seven frames and struck four batters out while giving up just one run on four hits. 

NOTABLES

• AUM has won six games in a row including seven GSC games consecutively. 
• Miller extended her hitting streak and reaching base streak to 13 games in a row. 
• Miller was five-for-six from the plate in the doubleheader and tallied eight RBIs.
• Fallen had four hits on the day including two homers. She has hit six this season.
