MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- In his first start of the season, Auburn University at Montgomery baseball player Micah Christian stroked a single up the middle that opened the floodgates on a six-run seventh inning as the Warhawks came away with a 10-9 victory over Georgia Southwestern State University in midweek action.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Two singles, a throwing error, a wild pitch, and four stolen bases helped the Hurricanes open up a 3-0 lead after two innings.
- The second error of the game for AUM led to another run as GSW took a 4-0 lead after four innings of play.
- A key piece of two-out hitting by Cooper Doughman resulted in a two-RBI single through the left side to make it a 4-2 game after five.
- A bases-loaded balk by GSW, along with a sacrifice bunt, added two more AUM runs to tie the game 4-4 after six frames.
- With the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the seventh inning, Micah Christian roped an RBI single up the middle that led to a six-run inning for AUM. Nick Freeman added an RBI double and Kasey Clark added an RBI single to make it 10-4 Warhawks.
- The Hurricanes found five runs in the top of the ninth inning, but Daniel Swatek got the final three outs for the black and orange to help seal the win.
ON THE MOUND
- Levi Clark pitched two innings and allowed three unearned runs on four hits with four strikeouts.
- Lucas Baggett made his sixth scoreless appearance of the season out of the bullpen for the Warhawks with three strikeouts in 1.2 innings.
- Michael Myers (2-2) picked up his second win with one strikeout in 1.2 scoreless relief frames.
- Swatek picked up his first AUM save with one walk and one strikeout as he got the final three outs of the game.
NOTABLES
- Baggett made his sixth scoreless relief appearance out of the bullpen, while Myers and Swatek both made tallied their fifth scoreless appearance this season.
- With an infield single in the sixth inning, Zach Dew extended his hitting streak to 16 games and his reached-base streak to 20 games.
- Freeman posted his seventh multi-hit game of the season and has a .454 batting average in his last six games.
UP NEXT
The Warhawks travel to Jackson, Tenn. to visit Union University for a three-game Gulf South Conference weekend. The two teams play at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 10 at Fesmire Field before a Saturday, March 11 doubleheader at 1 p.m.
