HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- The Auburn University at Montgomery baseball team got a home run and three RBIs from first baseman Kasey Clark to deliver a 5-4 win on the front end of a doubleheader before The University Alabama in Huntsville eeked out a 2-1 win in the series finale to end the 2023 season for the Warhawks.

GM 1 HIGHLIGHTS

• Trailing 3-0 after three innings, the Warhawks scored a run as Cooper Doughman grounded into a double play.
• Kasey Clark clubbed a two-run in the sixth inning to plate Nick Freeman and tie the game.
• A Zach Dew RBI single through the right side sent AUM ahead 4-3 in the seventh, but UAH immediately tied the game in the bottom half.
• Clark added an eighth-inning RBI single to right-center to push the Warhawks to a 5-4 lead, and AUM closed out the game one win.

GM 1 ON THE MOUND 

• Clay Slagle allowed four earned runs on eight hits with four strikeouts in six frames of work. 
• Grant Hickman (3-3) scattered two hits with one strikeout across three relief innings.

GM 2 HIGHLIGHTS

• Through three innings, both teams combined for just three base runners.
• Garrett Bodine hit a solo home run in the fourth inning to push the home team ahead 1-0.
• The Chargers pushed their second run across on an AUM throwing error to take a 2-0 lead after six.
• AUM notched an RBI single from Brett Pitts in the top of the seventh before Will Hotalen logged his ninth save for UAH.

GM 2 ON THE MOUND 

• Andrew Cronan (3-6) suffered the loss. He allowed one earned run, two total, on five hits and two walks with a single strikeout.
