MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Auburn University at Montgomery men's tennis team dropped a 4-3 exhibition match at Alabama State University on a chilly Sunday afternoon at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center to kick off the 2024 campaign.

FIRST SERVE – DOUBLES 

• Titouan Le Maout and Alex Verdasco played on court two and fell 6-2 against Matis Amier and Alexandre Verlaguet. 
• ASU clinched the doubles point as Matteo Lataste and David J Grandinot took a tight set 7-5 against Joao Guariente and Giuseppe Bonaiuti. 
• Adrian Contreras and Agustin Marquez battled on court three against Sam Bajracharya and Lun Obrul as ASU won 7-6. 

FIRST SERVE – SINGLES

• Guariente earned a point on the first court with a 6-4, 7-6 victory over Grandinot. 
• Bonaiuti was defeated 5-7, 2-6 against Bajracharya on the second court. 
• On the third court, Contreras and Amier went three sets with Amier clinching the point 7-6, 4-6, 2-6. 
• Le Maout gained an AUM point on the fourth court with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Lataste. 
• Verdasco won his first court in an AUM jersey with a 3-6, 7-5, 6-4 victory against Verlaguet to make the score 3-3. 
• ASU won the match on the sixth court as Marquez fell 3-6, 4-6 agaisnt Kristofer Johnson.
