MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The AUM women's soccer team was defeated by Union, 1-0, at the AUM Soccer Complex Sunday afternoon.
AUM (4-8-2, 2-7-1) recorded zero shots, while Union (7-4-2, 6-2-2) finished with eight shots total and three on goal.
The Bulldogs controlled possession of the ball for most of the match and held the Warhawks without a shot attempt.
Union gained a lead with a goal in the 26
th minute by Irene Arias. A well-executed cross from the left side of the field from Joslyn Greene led to the goal for Arias. AUM never could shift the momentum away from Union.
Karla Guzman-Ortiz recorded a pair of saves to increase her total on the year to 80. She leads the GSC in saves on the season and sports the second highest goal against average at 1.80.
AUM will return to action Friday, November 1 on the road at Delta State. Kick off in Cleveland, Miss. is set for 1 p.m. p.m. Central Time.
