HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Benjamin Hoffman scored his ninth goal of the season to give AUM a 1-0 victory over West Florida and their first GSC title in program history.
The Warhawks handed the Argonauts their first loss since the season opener on September 5. AUM racked up their sixth shutout victory of the season.
AUM (11-2-6) took the lead in the 28
th minute after
Benjamin Hoffman scored his ninth goal of the season. The Freshman and First Team All-GSC team selection's ninth goal would be his biggest yet to send his team to the NCAA Regionals.
The Warhawks held the Argonauts (11-2-4) scoreless for 90 minutes after they put up 13 shots with three on goal.
William Blake recorded three saves in Saturday's match and was named the GSC Tournament Most Outstanding Player.
The Warhawks recorded 12 shots with six on goal, Hoffman led the way with five shots of his own.
