MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- The Auburn University at Montgomery men's basketball team got a 17-point, 13-rebound double-double from
Malachi Rhodes, but Christian Brothers University drained a three-point basket 24 seconds into the game and never looked back en route to an 84-60 Gulf South Conference win.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Christian Brothers opened up a 7-0 lead in the first 90 seconds of the contest to set the tone early.
- Sam Youngblood helped trim the lead to five, 11-6, on a long jumper with 17:00 left in the first half.
- A 27-8 run from the Bucs pushed the lead to 24 points for the home team at the five-minute mark of the first half.
- AUM used a 16-7 run of its own, helped by seven points from Youngblood and a three-pointer from Travis Anderson, but CBU held a 45-30 advantage at the halftime intermission.
- A Malachi Rhodes foul shot with 13:02 left in the contest trimmed the lead to 14, which was as close as the Warhawks were able to get in the second half.
- The Bucs utilized a 10-4 run, bolstered by six quick points from Christian Jones, to push the lead to 20 as CBU secured the win by its third-largest margin of the campaign.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- The Bucs never trailed in the contest and led for all but 24 seconds of the game.
- CBU out-rebounded AUM 49-31 and won the points in the paint battle 40-24. The Bucs also sprinted past the Warhawks 25-10 on the fast break.
- The Warhawks went just 4-for-20 from three-point territory in the loss.
- Rhodes tallied his fourth double-double of the year. He ranks fourth in the GSC in rebounding at 7.1 rebounds per game.
- Rhodes was also 6-for-11 from the field and 5-for-6 from the foul line. On the season, Rhodes ranks fourth in the league in field goal percentage and second in free throw percentage.
- Jalil Robinson (12 points) and Sam Youngblood (11 points) added double-digit scoring efforts for the black and orange.
