LONGWOOD, Fla. -- The Auburn University at Montgomery softball team split Friday's games at the Panther Invitational with a 10-3 victory over Saint Anselm College and a 2-1 setback against Florida Tech in Longwood, Florida.

HIGHLIGHTS (GM 1)
- AUM's scoring began in the bottom of the first inning when Chloe Baynes singled up the middle, followed by her scoring on a wild pitch.
- Whitney Wells tallied a RBI double scoring Haley Ann Frank in the second inning. Faith Wheat brought home Wells on the next at bat to make it 3-0 in the second frame.
- Lexi Love had a sacrifice fly to score Gia Martin, who doubled to begin the bottom half of the third inning.
- Saint Anselm made it a ball game in the top of the fourth with a three-run homer from Rose Reitmeyer to make it 4-3.
- In the bottom of the fifth, the Warhawks plated four runs on five hits. Kat Fallen singled to begin the inning as Gia Martin, Rebecca Komers, Lexi Love, and Baynes all tallied RBIs.
- AUM added two more runs in the bottom of the sixth with Komers and Love bringing in runs.
ON THE MOUND (GM 1)
- Avery Dickerson earned the win tossing seven inning and allowing three earned runs on six hits. She struck out nine batters on the day.

HIGHLIGHTS (GM 2)
- Baynes opened the game with a leadoff single to third base. Fallen posted an RBI bringing home Baynes in the top of the first inning to give AUM a early 1-0 lead.
- Florida Tech's runs came in the bottom of the third with a RBI single to left field and a sacrifive fly to give the Panthers a 2-1 lead.
- AUM had a opportunity in the top of the fourth after Haley Ann Frank singled and Shelby Newsome doubled to left field to put runners on second and third. The Panthers stepped up defensively and did not allow a run.
ON THE MOUND (GM 2)
- Alanna Goble worked the six inning and allowed just two runs on four hits. She struck a pair of batters out.
UP NEXT
AUM is back in action on Saturday, February 10 for the second day of the Panther Invitational against Rollins College and Barry University. The first game is scheduled for 10 a.m., while game two will begin at 3 p.m.
