ROME, Ga. - Auburn University at Montgomery softball took down Shorter University 11-1 and 18-5 on Sunday afternoon at the Alto Park Softball Complex to complete a Gulf South Conference series.

HIGHLIGHTS
- The Warhawks scored four runs in the opening inning, highlighted by a two-run homer from Lexi Love to make it 4-0.
- Haley Ann Frank drove in her second run of the day with a single up the middle that scored Whitney Wells in the second inning.
- Rebecca Komers hit her third homer of the season with a two-run shot that scored Love in the third to make it 7-0.
- AUM plated four more runs in the fourth inning with Molly Cobb, Kat Fallen, and Lexie Bullock all earning runs batted in. Bullock had two with an RBI single.
- A bases-loaded walk in the fourth inning gave Shorter the only run of the game.
IN THE CIRCLE
- Sydni Free (W, 2-1) tossed the complete five-inning game and allowed one run on four hits. She walked four batters.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Shorter took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning, scoring on a bases-loaded walk.
- Margaret Morgan tied the game at 1-1 in the top of the second with a RBI double to left center field.
- SU retook the lead in the bottom half of the second inning with a sacrifice fly.
- Fallen hit a single to right field in the third frame that brought Frank and Chloe Baynes home as AUM took a 3-2 lead.
- Gia Martin hit a three-run homer in the third inning to give AUM a 6-2 lead. It was Martin's 41st in her career to become the all-time leader in home runs in AUM history.
- Shorter got a pair of runs back in the third off a two-run homer to make it 6-4.
- The Warhawks scored 11 runs in the fourth inning to make it 17-4.
- Shelby Newsome hit a solo homer in the fifth to make it 18-4.
- Shorter scored the final run of the game in the fifth to make it 18-5.

- Morgan Ferguson got the start working one inning. She allowed two runs on two hits and walked five batters.
- Chelisa Newsome (W, 3-1) got the win in relief tossing four innings and striking out five batters. She gave up three runs on three hits and walked three batters.
