.MONTEVALLO, Ala. -- The Auburn University at Montgomery men's basketball team got a dunk from
Deven Tucker with 34 seconds to go to help force overtime, but the University of Montevallo outscored AUM 17-12 to seal a win in the final game of the 2023-2024 season for both teams.
Travis Anderson scored 21 points as one of five Warhawks in double-figures.

HIGHLIGHTS
- AUM built a six-point lead halfway through the opening half of action on a Malchi Rhodes layup.
- The Falcons used a 10-3 run, including three-pointers from Tyson Sexton and Jack Henderson, to lead 40-35 with three minutes to go until the break.
- Joseph Lanzi and Henderson traded layups in the final seconds of the half as both teams went into the intermission tied at 42.
- Neither team was able to build a lead of more than four points in the opening minutes of the second half as both teams traded baskets.
- A Jalen Gaston three-pointer with 9:19 to play put AUM in front 61-58, but the Warhawks were assessed a pair of technical fouls that saw the Falcons go 5-for-6 at the foul line to take the lead back.
- Montevallo built a four-point advantage with 2:57 to play before a Sam Youngblood four-point play and a Gilbert Croley free throw gave AUM a 75-74 lead.
- The Warhawks sent up 81-79 with 34 seconds left in the game, but the Falcons answered with an Aidan Gardner dunk to tie the game.
- Anderson and Gaston got looks in the final 10 seconds to win the game, but both attempts just missed the mark.
- Montevallo scored eight of the first nine points in the overtime period to help seal the win for the Falcons.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Anderson scored 21 points in his final effort for the Warhawks. He hit six three-pointers, grabbed six rebounds, and dished out five assists.
- Rhodes added his sixth double-double of the season and his 21st game scoring in double figures with his 13 points and 13 rebounds.
- Gaston (17 points), Lanzi (15 points), and Youngblood (12 points) also chipped in double-digit scoring nights.
- AUM out-rebounded Montevallo 53-52, including 20-17 on the offensive glass.
- The Falcons out-scored AUM in the paint 50-30.
- Both teams played to a tie score 21 times on the night, and the lead changed hands 18 times.
