MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The No. 17 Auburn University at Montgomery softball team dropped game three of the series against Union University 5-0 on Sunday afternoon at the AUM Softball Complex in a Gulf South Conference game.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Union came out on fire at the plate with five hits in the first six at-bats. Zoey Neal and Brooke Puckett hit doubles as UU took a quick 4-0 lead in the first frame.
- AUM had two base runners on in the bottom of the fourth, but back-to-back strikeouts ended the inning.
- The Lady Bulldogs scored the fifth run of the game in the top of the sixth off a RBI single to right field.
- Whitney Wells tried to start a rally in the bottom of the seventh, but was caught stealing base and a line out to Union's pitcher ended the game.
IN THE CIRCLE
- Brinkley Yevak (L, 4-1) took the loss allowing four runs on five hits in the first inning.
- Chelisa Newsome came in relief and worked 6.2 innings giving up one run on five hits. She struck six batters out.
UP NEXT
The Warhawks travel to Memphis, Tennessee for a GSC series against Christian Brothers University. Game one of the series will be Thursday, March 28 at 3:30 p.m. and the doubleheader will be on Friday, March 29 at noon.
