LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Auburn University at Montgomery softball team is ranked No. 16 in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II Coaches Poll.
The Warhawks went 3-2 this past week with a doubleheader split with Columbus State University and took the series against Union University this past week.
Sophomore outfielder
Chloe Baynes is leading the Gulf South Conference in hits and batting average with 57 hits and an average of .475.
Gia Martin is third in the conference in home runs with 12 this season. She has batted in 40 runs on 33 hits.
Kat Fallen has been another key player for AUM with 42 hits and nine homers. She has a batting average of .400.
The Warhawks have been strong in the circle with
Alanna Goble owning an earned run average of 2.73 and has struck out 81 batters.
Brinkley Yevak has tossed a pair of no-hitters this season and has an ERA of 2.74.
AUM has picked up key wins against No. 1 University of North Georgia, No. 10 Mississippi College, No. 21 Rollins College, and No. 25 Nova Southeastern University.
Auburn Montgomery travels to Memphis, Tennessee for another series in the GSC with game one on Thursday, March 28 at 3:30 p.m. and the doubleheader on Saturday, March 29 at noon.
