MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Margaret Morgan hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the fifth inning to allow Auburn University at Montgomery softball team to take down University of West Georgia 10-0 on Friday evening in game one of the Gulf South Conference series.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Chloe Baynes scored in the first inning off of a throwing error by West Georgia's catcher who was trying to throw out Haley Ann Frank stealing.
- Kat Fallen and Rebecca Komers drove in a pair of runs in the first as AUM stretched the lead to 3-0. Margaret Morgan singled up the middle and brought home Komers and Faith Wheat to make it 5-0.
- Whitney Wells hit her sixth homer of the season in the fourth inning to make it 6-0 and it was followed by Frank driving home Baynes as AUM went up 7-0.
- Morgan hit a three-run home run in the fifth to close the game as AUM won 10-0. She finished the game with five runs batted in.
IN THE CIRCLE
- Alanna Goble (W, 12-3) earned the win in the circle as she worked her 12th complete game of the season striking out five batters. She walked two batters and hit a pair.
UP NEXT
The Warhawks close the series against the Wolves on Saturday, April 13 against the Wolves with a start time of 1 p.m. in the doubleheader.
