MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Auburn University at Montgomery baseball player
Michael Myers was named the Warhawk of the Week after helping the Warhawks seal a doubleheader sweep of the University of West Florida.
In game one of the doubleheader, Myers entered the game with one out in the top of the ninth inning and allowed just one hit while notching a fly out and a ground out to keep the game tied ahead of AUM's walk-off win in the bottom of the ninth.Â
Game two of the doubleheader saw Myers enter in the fifth inning and retire the Argonauts in order over the final three innings. He allowed just one hit to lead off the sixth inning but immediately induced a ground ball double play and tallied a strikeout to keep UWF off the scoreboard. Both wins improved Myers to 5-0 this season.
The Warhawks enter the final week of the 2024 regular season this week. AUM hosts Albany State University in its regular season home finale before visiting the University of Montevallo on Friday, April 25, and Saturday, April 16.Â
