OXFORD, Ala. -- Margaret Morgan hit a home run to left center field in the bottom of the seventh to earn the 2-1 victory in the opening round of the Gulf South Conference Tournament against the No. 7 seed University of West Alabama on Wednesday afternoon at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Alabama.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Chloe Baynes opened the game with a single through the left side and stole second base. Haley Ann Frank was able to move Baynes to third base, and Molly Cobb tallied an RBI by scoring Baynes to take a 1-0 lead.
- The Warhawks had a chance to plate more runs in the bottom of the third, but back-to-back strikeouts ended the frame as AUM still lead 1-0.
- West Alabama's Marissa Mitchell hit a home run in the top of the fourth to even the game at 1-1.
- AUM did not record another hit until Morgan walked it off with the home run to left center field.
IN THE CIRCLE
- Alanna Goble (W, 15-3) earned the win in the circle going the distance and allowing just one run on four hits. She struck out seven batters in the game.
