MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Alanna Goble and Brinkley Yevak pitched complete games in the Auburn University at Montgomery softball team's victories against Nova Southeastern University on Saturday at the AUM Softball Complex to send the Warhawks to the NCAA Division II South Super Regional.

HIGHLIGHTS

• The Warhawks were the visiting team in game one and Chloe Baynes set the tone with a single up the middle to get on base and eventually reached third base. Kat Fallen grounded out and brought home Baynes to give AUM a 1-0 lead. 
• NSU got two runners on base with a lead off walk and a single, but a ground out to Rebecca Komers ended the frame. 
• Auburn Montgomery put something together in the top of the fourth and got the bases loaded, but a strikeout and ground out ended the top half of the inning. 
• Gia Martin hit the South Regional #1's first home run in the top of the sixth inning with a solo homer to right center field to make it 2-0. 
• The Sharks hit three fly outs in a row in the bottom of the seventh as the Warhawks foced the game seven. 

IN THE CIRCLE

• Alanna Goble (W, 19-3) worked the complete game and gave up no runs on three hits. She struck out four batters and walked just one.

HIGHLIGHTS

• AUM was the home team in the final game and in the bottom of the first the Warhawks scored in the opening inning. 
• Haley Ann Frank reached base on an error and Molly Cobb singled to push Frank to second. Gia Martin hit a single to right field and scored Frank to make it 1-0. 
• AUM added three more runs as Shelby Newsome had the bases loaded and hit a single to right center field and the Warhawks went up 4-0. 
• The Sharks left five runners on base the entire game and did not get any runners on base the final two innings. 
• A ground out to Komers ended the game as AUM punched the ticket to the NCAA South Super Regional. 

IN THE CIRCLE

• Brinkley Yevak (W, 9-2) earned the win and gave up no runs on four hits. She struck out four batters and did not walk any batters.

"Our team was relentless today," head coach Scottie Wilkes said. "We could have easily gotten down or felt like we had a mountain to climb, but we did not. We knew that winning two games was possible, and they took that and ran with it. Today was a great team effort, and I look forward to watching them compete next week"

The Warhawks meet a familiar foe in the NCAA South Super Regionals with a three-game series against Mississippi College on deck beginning on Tuesday, May 12 and Wednesday, May 13. More information will be released later about the NCAA South Super Regional.
