INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The NCAA announced on Monday morning that the Auburn University at Montgomery softball team has earned the No. 1 seed in the NCAA South Regional and will host the No. 7 seed Spring Hill College , No. 4 seed Nova Southeastern University, and No. 5 seed Saint Leo University in a double-elimination tournament beginning on Thursday, May 9-Saturday, May 11 at the AUM Softball Complex.
The Warhawks are coming off the program's third Gulf South Conference Tournament Championship with a dominant victory against the No. 1 seed Mississippi College.
The Orange & Black enter the NCAA Tournament with a 40-11 record and have been led by the Gulf South Conference Pitcher of the Year
Alanna Goble. Goble has an ERA of 2.40 and has a 17-3 record in the circle this season.
Chloe Baynes is the leadoff batter with a batting average of .458 and has tallied 82 hits. She has scored 66 runs this year and stolen 30 bases.
Haley Ann Frank has a batting average of .440 with 70 hits. She has hit 11 doubles and scratched 53 runs for the Warhawks.
Infielder
Kat Fallen has 60 hits this year with 13 home runs. The Prattville, Alabama native has driven in 68 runs. Second baseman
Gia Martin has tallied 19 home runs with 53 runs batted in.
More information about the 2024 NCAA South Regional in Montgomery, Alabama will be announced later on Monday, May 6.
