ALBANY, Ga. -- The Auburn University at Montgomery women's soccer team scored a pair of first half goal on it's way to a 2-0 road victory over Albany State at the ASU Soccer Field on Thursday.

Laia Gonzalez put thw Warhawks on the board in the ninth minute before Reia Henry scored on a pass from Chloe Wallace in the 42nd minute.

AUM outshot ASU 24-4 and held a 12-2 edge in corner kick opportunities. Gonzalez led the team with five shots, while Lucy Thomas added four and a team-best two on goal.

The Warhawks backline limited the Golden Rams to just three shots on goal as Karla Guzman-Ortiz turned them all away for the shutout.

AUM will return to action on Sunday afternoon when it plays host to Clayton State. Kick off at the AUM Soccer Complex is set for 1 p.m.
